Meet My Family

You may or may not know,  I am Sarah,  this is Kevin 💁🏼‍♀️(guy in picture above… and below… and in many other future posts) and we have the most adorable son in the whole wide world (Yes every mom says this, but to every parent it holds true)! We are alike in almost every way two humans of the opposite sex could familiarize themselves with. Except he’s a sports fanatic.  Literally, go ahead and leave a comment asking him anything and he’ll  know it (without Google). I am more of a let’s go on a new adventure today… and not watch sports fanatic,  but we compromise equally. 😉

As you know I was raised in the South and Kevin,  well he was raised in Ohio. We met one lovely evening out in Arlington Virginia on one of my favorite holidays,  Cinco de drinko! I say we fell in love over mimosas and Brussel sprouts but he would probably tell you it was over him watching me really get into the Spurs playoff game (which we lost). We have had the greatest opportunities to live in the U.S. capital together and explore all the historical beauty of D.C. Before moving to California, Kevin and I had the pleasure of taking the PCH down from San Francisco to San Diego a week before the mudslides started. It was breathtaking! Everyone should add the Highway one roadtrip to their bucket list! Later on I will definitely be making a post about the stops and must do’s for this. Kevin didn’t know it but this is what convinced me to say yes to our cross country journey out west, and now we are here!

Everyone will tell you travel will stop once you have kids. I am here to tell you, NO it will not! There is a big difference in the way you travel (adult freedom mainly) but it is absolutely still possible and just as much fun. We went on our first road trip as a family to San Francisco at six weeks PP. We went all over the city and took Michael to his first Giants baseball game where they gave him an official “first time” certificate! It was a blast.

Our little man is Michael William and he has been the biggest blessing and surprise we could have ever asked for. You can see how we found out here,  trust me it’s intense!!

He was born 6.17.17 and ever since that day my life has done a complete 180º. Maybe more like a 100º because I still love to travel and live a healthy balanced lifestyle. Regardless of the specific degree I can say I have become selfless which is where the biggest change I believe happens as a parent. My daily concerns went from all about Sarah,  to all about how can I make this little human not cry, and set him up for success at life. If you’re a mom you know this and if you’re expecting you’ll learn! Here you mommy’s-to-be can get tips preparing yourself for the mental change that happens when you hear that first cry. 😍 Michael has such a personality already and am so ecstatic to see the little man he becomes. Leave a comment and tell me all about your family!🤗
