Hot Apple Cider Sangria…and it is EASY

Yummy!! All the amazing and fun things of the changing seasons really bring out a certain cozy and comforting feeling. While you’re decorating for whichever holiday this season my delicious, like “OMG I can’t even” delicious hot cider sangria will give everyone a little extra pep in their step and wider smile on their face. We LOVE this recipe while carving pumpkins. It just really puts ya in the mood, 😉wink wink. The pumpkin carving,  pumpkin pie eating all things holiday mood!

If you are looking for a nice fancy cocktail to bring to a gathering or party it will be a hit. If you are hosting a party it is PERFECT for a holiday soiree and will be an instant win for the hostess with the mostess. I know I have been there in the past and just brought some crappy pre mixed “just add X” cocktail juice and eh, not a memorable experience. This my dear, THIS is a memorable experience.

Now you will not need very many ingredients and it comes out amazing, something I love! Less ingredients, more flavor is my specialty! You can also make it a variety of ways and you can make it virgin, yay!

Soo without further adieu, these are ALL the ingredients you will need:

  • Apple Cider or Spiced Apple Cider
    • If you used the regular Apple Cider it will be a little more on the sweet side and the spiced Apple Cider will have a little kick to it.
  • 1 bottle of a dryer red wine or cranberry juice for virgin
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Orange
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Maple Syrup

Each pot yields 4-6 servings (depending on your size of wine glass..hehehe)

Steps:

  1. 3 cups Apple Cider
  2. The whole bottle of wine, oh yea pack a punch! If you are making a virgin version you will have to play with the quantity of cranberry juice depending on your desired taste.
  3. My recommendation is to start with 2 cups and go from there. I would recommend using the spiced apple cider with the virgin version as well.
  4. 1/2 cup maple syrup
  5. slice the apple into 1/4 inch thick slices
  6. Take the orange, cut off the ends and thinly slice
  7. Add 4-5 cinnamon sticks

Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes stirring occasionally. Distribute evenly and enjoy!

It is such an easy and stupendous cocktail, make sure to share this recipe with your friends and family! And of course let me know what you think!
